3. Flossing is as important as brushing teeth
Cleaning dirt between your teeth can help prevent cavities and remove plaque. Flossing cleans the hard-to-reach areas of the toothbrush.

Flossing can remove food waste and plaque accumulation between teeth. The American Dental Association recommends flossing as much as once a day.

4. Sugar causes tooth decay
In every age, a healthy diet is very important to keep your teeth healthy. However, sweet foods have been known to be the true cause of tooth decay.

When bacteria in the mouth break down simple sugars, they produce strong acids that can erode tooth enamel. This opens the house to decay the teeth. Therefore, it is advisable to reduce foods and drinks that contain lots of acids such as soda.

5. Visit the dentist regularly
Most oral health problems do not produce any symptoms until they have progressed to the next stage. Therefore it is very important to visit a dentist at least once in 3-6 months.
